Designed for applicants for ST3 Dermatology posts who want to optimise their performance at interview
We’ll leave no stone unturned in your preparation for the big day. As with all DermCoach courses, our flagship course is informed by extensive quantitative research. This eliminates much of the guesswork involved in answering questions.
By harnessing our research, we aim to put you in the best position to deal with any and everything that you can encounter. After all, who better to advise on the optimal approach to a question than the people who actually allocate the points on the day?
Dermatology is the most competitive of medical specialties with increasingly well-prepared candidates. The first stage to climbing a mountain is to create a roadmap for how to tackle it – we use a piecemeal ‘modular’ structure to get to the top. You have negotiated significant hurdles and beaten the odds to reach the stage of being in a position to apply for an ST3 Dermatology post.
We’ll build on this experience to refine your approach to the Dermatology ST3 Interview. While so-so performances may have secured the more junior posts you’ve applied for, the unforgiving competition ratios that dermatology candidates now face mean that there is little room for error.
Traditional interview preparation courses are not tailored to the specific context of dermatology. Additionally, courses which do claim to focus on dermatology interview preparation are often not iteratively refined year-on-year to reflect the evolving nature of the interview. We do both.
How to present yourself.
This course covers everything you need to know about how to speak, what clothes to wear and helps paint you in the best light. Again, this is based on quantitative research rather than one consultant’s opinions.
